Hacking Computer IDs.

When I first installed the new security to stop
hacking, the system constantly notified me of outside attempts to enter. At
first I thought it must be common internet chatter, but because it's
been blocked, the constant attempts have almost completely ceased...or
maybe my post about FBI involvement discouraged them.
Maybe these are nothing, but they are not
"pop-ups", I already have a filter for those and many of
these attempts
happened when working independent of the internet.
218.15.192.64 (continuous attempts)
218.87.86.104 (continuous attempts)
0.0.0.0. (DHCP)
255.255.255.255 (DHCP)
217.81.225.150
210.5.22.10
64.247.27.40
24.205.224.36
66.215.117.41
66.214.72.38
64.156.39.12
10.213.30.1
noted these specifically tried as I was
working on documents, not on internet:
24.24.10.184
62.87.232.128
217.164.64.252
202.42.58.202
217.233.22.10
Also, security stopped my "windows explorer"
from trying to send data to 127.0.0.1
For those who have the time and inclination,
these are the numbers of computers attempting to enter mine. I know there are ways of
tracking these down, but I don't know how to do this extensively. If anyone finds
anything, please notify us. Thank you!
There were others, but I got
tired of writing them down and thought they must be normal. As they
have almost completely stopped, I realize they probably were
malicious?
(Biting lip) I just happened to check my stats from my security
system. To date (9/14/03) there have been 606
attempts and 6 of them
were "high rated." I haven't checked this for days and days.
(I hate it when things turn out to be 666's.
That's the Biblical number of the beast.)
