Seeing God's touch even in
the smaller things
My wildflowers... I waited all summer for
them to bloom on the spot where I was married and they wouldn't. I
figured I planted them too late in the season and I was saddened
because I wanted them to look nice for my new husband. Then on Sept.
20, the very day I discovered "hubby" was still seeing his old
girlfriend and I kicked him out, my wildflowers bloomed.
Later I heard that haunting song, "Nothing
compares to you" by Sinead O'Conner and laughed, because the lyrics
are...
"All the flowers that you planted, mama, in the
back yard, all died when you went away..."
What an opposite "comparison." I see this as a
sign that God is so intensely with me through this, even today when
I took this picture in January.
I think God gives all of us signs all the time,
we just have to watch for them.
