My son's teacher gave me a copy of the videotape, "The
Story of Islam" which has been shown to the 7th grade classes for
years. The teacher claims it's adopted and approved by the California
Department of Education and he saw no problem with it, so I settled in
to see (what I thought would be) a fair presentation.
Shock.
If Christians had tried to slip in a Christian tape
like this, we would be hammered.
I am currently transcribing this videotape for a future article, but I am loathe to further the story
of Muhammad, which has been blended in with facts, completely devoid
of "what Muslims believe" even beyond what was in the (now revised)
textbooks.
Video excerpt (deeper voice, reading from the Quran):
"Do not yield yourselves out to the
infidels, struggle against them drawing strength from the Quran.
Fight the agents of Satan, his traps are truly weak."
The word of God made the inhabitants of Arabia forget their
squabbles and transformed them into historical figures. The reasons
for the overwhelming victories of young Islam are partially beyond
our knowledge. How did the Arabs come to break out of their desert
at a single stroke and abandon the life they knew as merchants,
caravan followers and shepherds? There was a sudden explosion of
energy reaching further and further in successive waves and a
conversion of the conquered country was measured by the enthusiasm
of the warriors and genius of the leaders.
"If 20 bold men are to be found among you,
they are worth 200. If you have 100, they will be worth a thousand
unbelievers."
Facing the attack of a handful of ill-equipped nomads, the two
great empires of Byzantium and Sassanid Persia revealed themselves
as impotent.
Am I the only one that noticed the narrator claimed "the word of
God" had transformed the inhabitants of Arabia? What was this
factually-described "sudden explosion of energy" that reached in
"successive waves," converting a conquered nation, measured by the
"enthusiasm of warriors and genius of the leaders"?
Religious beliefs presented AS FACT, compelling music, continuous
chants of prayer calls to Allah in the background, leading and
suggestive material and wielding "The word of God" to credit the
victorious slaughters of other countries... I am truly sickened
by our public schools, with teachers and principals that state they
think this is just fine, saying they watched it "academically."
But children are not watching this "academically." For any public
educator, or "curriculum commissioner" to claim they don't understand
that CHILDREN ARE IMPRESSIONABLE, especially at the age of 12 when they
are going through identity crisis, is astounding.
I remember our superintendent defending an assembly where they
chose 4th grade children from the audience to dance to African gods.
When I voiced my objections, he shrugged and said my child could stand
up and object. Riiiigggghhht. My son could go against his teacher
whom he adored, all his friends who were caught up in the moment of
beating drums and a troop dancing, surrounded by cheers and clapping
and hopeful children raising their hands to dance on stage to other
gods...my son is supposed to have discernment, stand up with his fist
and say "I object."
It leaves me speechless. These highly paid PhD's brandishing their
credentials are either completely blind without a congruent thought in
their heads or they are purposely trying to dupe parents. And it
is absolutely astounding how so many public educators think alike.
What happens to people when they go through the rigors of training to
become teachers?
They claim they are training children to think for themselves, but
all too often these "trainings" are nothing more than Christian
bashing compounded with a rewritten version of Islam that nobody
believes...except our children and those who believe the liberal media
today.
Nobody has to agree with my beliefs about Christ, but our nation
was founded on religious freedom, and children SHOULD NOT have to sit
through religious propaganda attacking their faith every which way it
can.
Two years ago
Dr. Dobson urged parents to get their kids out of public schools.
So has
Dr. Laura,
Joseph Farah and now the Southern Baptists and other evangelical
Christians have introduced
resolutions to follow suit. Roger Moran said,
"As the educational philosophy of public schools increasingly
mirrors the anti-Christian philosophy of our activist judges, the time
has come to proclaim with absolute clarity that 'render unto Caesar'
was never intended to include the hearts and minds of our children."
Americans are getting FED UP with liberals trying to destroy our
children's faith,
rewrite our beliefs and strip us of religious freedom.
Christianity is not the only religion being rewritten. Richard Ben-Veniste
of the 911 Commission virtually admitted we're trying to rewrite the
Islamic religion.
"Our mission is to separate Bin Laden and the al-Qaida and the
al-Qaida wannabes from the Muslim world at large to make it
inhospitable--because you make it—you make their policies—you show
their policies to be so unsympathetic to the religion that they
profess, and your policies...
Ben-Veniste was cut off at that point in an
interview with Chris Matthews on Hardball. (Ben-Veniste doesn't
realize that Bin Laden is walking in the
"method of Muhammad" which IS the Islamic religion according to
all their holy books.)
The arrogance, the condescending attitude of education officials
and many teachers towards parents objecting to the liberal
brainwashing of our children is outrageous. They are teaching our
children to embrace a religion that has proclaimed a fatwa, death on
our families! This is worse than asking Jewish children to embrace the
peaceful Third Reich prior to the holocaust as the death camps were
being built.
We've come a long way from Laura Ingalls begging farmers to let
their children come to school. I always thought those farmers were
ignorant and backwards, just like Hollywood portrayed them, but maybe
our great grandparents could have taught us a thing or two; like
decency, respect, honor and traditional values, something far lacking
in today's public schools. Oh I forgot, as teachers tell our children
they came from apes, they blame the parents for their animalistic
behavior.
Maybe I'm being a little tough on teachers, I know they are, on the
whole, very nice people. But I am just shocked at the mindset when it
comes to the belief that public education has the right to recruit our
children to Islam and force
pluralism (the belief that all religions
are equal therefore none of them are true) on our children.
