Return of POWs after BOLD military prayer
          4/13
Last night, at approximately 7:40 p.m. pacific time, I watched a large
group of Marines bow their heads and give thanks and glory to God for
the success of their missions. It was purposefully done as they waited
for the Chaplain and in united fashion, (except for Geraldo), bowed
their heads in thanks and praise on Geraldo Rivera Live.

For the first time since the
Iraqi war began, I was in "shock and awe."
        Our military, our government,
Fox News, everyone had to have been aware of how every liberal and ACLU
member would react. Yet there they were on Geraldo Rivera Live, with
        Geraldo himself a liberal.
At 7:30 this morning, I awoke
to the spectacular news that seven of our POWs were released.
        Mindful of the prayer last
night, I'd like to know, when exactly were they released?

        One reporter said (live) he
had inside information six hours ago from someone "bursting at the
seams" with the news that the POW's had been released, though he could
        not report it yet.
That would be 1:30 a.m. when
        the covert report was given,
5 1/2 hours after that prayer.
Reports are coming out as I
type, the marines were totally surprised by the POWs. They had not been
told to look for them, it appears it was a last minute release.

        Shoshana Johnson's family
just gave a very short statement, they thanked God and thanked all
who had prayed for their return.
POW Ron Young's mom and dad,
        at 8:11
        a.m. said:

"We are so thankful to our
heavenly Father... We were prepared to accept God's will...  You've
          got to have faith..."

          "The Spirit had to be
strong with them because we prayed for everyone, we prayed for our
troops, our MIAs, even for Saddam Hussein, everybody was prayed
for...   We felt the Spirit and uplifted because the only way we got
through this was we felt the Spirit of the Lord, there was so much
peace and comfort...  We thank our Savior for the sacrifice He made."

          "God bless our country, our
troops, they're the greatest and the best in the world. We need to all
give special thanks for our troops. They have done incredible... our
hats are off to them. Outstanding job over there, and I know they
really been through some difficult times. Our hearts go out to those
who have lost their sons in the war, but the Lord is the same, and the
Lord is ..." [cut off, end of interview]

I think I know the sentiments
Ron Young was about to express: Our hearts go out to those whose sons
are not coming home. It's all about the Lord. Whether our troops come
home to our families or home to our Father in heaven, it's all about the
        Lord.
        Glory to God.
        I pray that President Bush
will have the courage to officially give thanks to God. I know the price
to President Bush would be heavy, but it is that kind of faith that
opens up the heavens and brings forth the blessings that we all pray
for. It's what keeps this nation together. It's what moves God's hand to
stay with us and protect us. Glorifying God as a nation is the
outstanding reason I am proud to be an American. It is evidenced in the
last stanza of the Star Spangled Banner, our national anthem, a
        heritage of a Christian nation:
        Blest with victory and
        peace, may the heaven-rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must, for our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: "In God is our trust."
And the star-spangled banner forever shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!
